GUNPOWDER SOUP will arrive to the venue prepared to entertain and make your wedding day special. For cocktail hour, we will play background MP3 music or you can hire one of our performers for an acoustic set.
During dinner, GUNPOWDER SOUP will play songs from our softer side so everyone can have a conversation. After the 1st dance, bride/father dance, groom/mother dance are finished, our sound engineer will turn up the volume and the Band will explode into action.
We are experienced in reading the crowd's dance preferences and will make set changes “on-the-fly” in order to accommodate the dancers. Most songs are played back to back except when there are announcements or wedding customs. Our job is to keep everyone entertained and keep the reception party rolling until the send off.

We engage guests right away, start the party as soon as we start our first set, and by the end of the night, you will become our friend! We are THE Band that started interacting with guests back in 1999, handed out tambourines, and letting guests sing on the microphones with us.
GUNPOWDER SOUP has lots of experience in the wedding industry, we have a great business model, owner is on site, and we employ great musical talent. Our gear has been assembled by our GRAMMY Award Winning Recording Engineer, Marius Perron, who has a MS in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas. Jeanine Davis-Perron (owner) has a BS degree in Hospital Administration and stock trades during the week.
PERFORMANCE
For cocktail hour, we play MP3 music from our stage speakers, unless you hire an acoustic musician from our staff. During dinner, the Band will play low volume and slow to mid-tempo songs to accommodate conversations
After formalities, we will fill the dance floor with dancers, interact with guests off-stage, enlist singers on our crowd microphone. GUNPOWDER SOUP started tambourines and crowd mics on the dance floor and we continue this client favorite.
GPS BUSINESS MODEL
We have been engaging with guests since 1999 and are experts in the entertainment business. Detailed local female management and an A+ from the Better Business Bureau set us apart from other bands. Clients call and book directly through our Contact page and we generate our own contracts.
Important: GUNPOWDER SOUP carries general liability insurance for venues that require a one million dollar policy. The owner is always on site and manages the Band during the event.

If you want to hire a two or three piece horn section, email for availability. You will love our variety of lead vocalists and wall of harmonies. Our musicians are multi-talented on different instruments so we have a full sound depending on the instrumentation of each song.
