Let's Rodeo Ball 2022 What a night to remember!! It was a long day at the Joe Freeman Coliseum starting at 1pm and ending at 12am. When Gunpowder Soup arrived, Jake Owen was sound checking on the round stage, known so well at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. Over the round stage hung the famous glass saddle, where stage lights focused. Jake Owen had two large guitar cases that looked like a wardrobe closet.
A guitar tech tuned each guitar before handing it to the musicians on stage. Gunpowder Soup sound checked and waited while the guests arrived for an evening of fun. Corporate tables were closest to the stage and that is where our Bass player stayed the whole night. He had people singing on our mics and ladies dancing in the aisle. Gunpowder Soup exploded into action with “I'm From The Country”, and threw out songs back to back so guests would be thoroughly entertained.
Country music was the main course, but our favorites entertaining hits are 80s, Classic Rock, and Motown. One hour and thirty minutes went by fast. Jake took the stage after roadies loaded us off stage and then we went to visit our fan club.
