San Antonio Entertainment

Demin and Diamonds, 70s and 80s party theme, Rodeo Time…Gunpowder Soup will enhance your corporate event with explosive entertainment.  We are an established and successful show band, performing mostly for private events.  The owners of Gunpowder Soup have an A+ from the Better Business Bureau.

There is NO other band like Gunpowder Soup!  Members of Gunpowder Soup will step off the stage and engage with guests to create an energetic party.  We invite people to sing on the mic, lead a train, lead a dance, and play tambourine.

Other large bands such as Gunpowder Soup, promote a large repertoire of 500 + songs.  Could a band perform that many songs with 100% perfection?  On the fly?  Gunpowder Soup does not advertise a large repertoire list because we want to perform songs we know well, show after show. And, on the fly.

Another reason to hire GPS,  we have the same members show after show.

100% Attention to Details

Gunpowder Soup is a premier San Antonio corporate cover band for entertainment.  We communicate with technical directors, electricians, and event planners before arriving to the venue. The itinerary will be discussed in detail to ensure a perfectly timed event and we micro manage our productions to ensure high quality entertainment.  In-ear monitors and talk-back mics are used to communicate between members on stage for song selection, walk in/walk off cues, and scheduled announcements.  We monitor the crowd participation for deciding the next hit song and play most songs back to back.

Contact Us Directly

Our administration generates contracts for each event and engage in conference calls for clarity on scheduling.  Our team will contact the venue manager for logistics and stage requirements.

Gunpowder Soup prefers direct contact with clients because we want to know the theme, what genre of music for dinner, age of guests attending, type of function, and other services needed for a smooth event.

Master of Ceremonies

Gunpowder Soup encompasses two MC’s, one female and one male. The Band owns wireless mics for corporate announcements and speeches.
Our team is experienced with walk on cues and working with production managers.

Dress Theme

If your party theme is Country, the Band will dress in boots, jeans, western shirt, and skirts.  If your gala is formal or semi-formal, performers will dress in cocktail attire.

Line Dance Instructions

Gunpowder Soup offers line dance instructions for Copperhead Road, Footloose, and Boot Scootin’ Boogie.  One of our team members will take 15 – 20 minutes to teach dance steps to each song while the Band is on break.  Our management team will facilitate the flow of the show with the line dance songs during the band’s performance.
