“The party really started when y’all took the stage”!  Kelsie

Gunpowder Soup monitors the dancer’s preferences and pick the right song to keep dancer’s on the floor and packed.  Look at our photos for proof!  We welcome guest’s request and invite them to sing along with us on a microphone.  Most songs are played back to back and our energy level is contagious!

Other bands promote a large repertoire of 500+ songs.  How can a band perform that many songs with 100% perfection?   Gunpowder Soup does not advertise a large repertoire list because we want to perform songs we know well and play often.

For those who love and want only country music, Gunpowder Soup can play two stepping country songs all night.   If you want to hear only rock, pop, and the 80s for your event, we will start with an explosive bang.
The band employs a country male vocalist from Nashville and Opryland, so country will sound country.  When we start playing pop music, 80s, and Top 40, our talented female performer will entertain you with powerful vocals.  For Classic Rock, 70s, and the 60s, another male vocalist will take the lead.  Our harmony vocals are top notch and we entertain ALL generations.

TOP 40

So you want to dance to the newest Billboard Top 40 songs, we offer DJ service during our break.  We will play the newest hit song and take guest’s requests, therefore, the party never ends!

“THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!! We’re from Colorado so when we started looking or a band for our nuptials we didn’t know where to begin. Luckily, we found Gun Powder Soup on YouTube and were confident that they would be great. They were 100x better than we expected which is saying a lot considering we knew they would be a blast. They interact with the guests and make it so fun to be part of the party. I’ve never had so much fun at a wedding reception and it’s just a bonus that it our wedding. My only regret is that we didn’t have a longer reception because we could’ve danced all night long to their entertaining set. You will not regret hiring them for your event.”

2019 Wedding Reception At Horseshoe Bay

“Gunpowder Soup played our wedding last wedding, and they were AMAZING! I had read all the reviews so I had high expectations – they exceeded them all! They were so fun and such great musicians. A couple of friends mentioned they were every bit as good if not better than the original artists. I could not more highly recommended this band!

2019 Wedding Ceremony And Reception At Sunset Station

“My daughter hired this band for her wedding. We saw videos and read reviews, but none of these did the band justice. You need to see them perform to appreciate their talent. Wow! What a performance! They are absolutely FANTASTIC! Not only did we have family members out on the dance floor who normally don’t dance, but the band had them also singing and playing tambourines! We had so many remarks from our guests about how much FUN they had. The band is musically talented and definitely will create a memorable evening for your event.”
