If your venue must use a third party electrical vendor, have them contact Gunpowder Soup for information. The third party electrical vendor must drop electricity from the back of the stage to the middle of the stage. Client is responsible for cost of electricity supplied to the stage if venue request fees.
Gunpowder Soup needs an area minimum of 22' (length) x 12' (depth).
Flooring of the performance area must be level, dry, and smooth for heavy wheeled equipment. The Band will not set up on grass, gravel, or dirt.
A stage is not required for the Band. If you choose to have a stage – stairs must be situated on stage right. The stage must be sturdy and flat to handle large truss, racks, and moving performers.
All outdoor performances require a cover over the Band. If a large shadow from a building is covering the stage from direct sunlight, please take a picture and we will assess the environment. The computers and speakers will shut down if they become overheated from the sunlight.
Gunpowder Soup will only set up once during the contract period so plan accordingly. It takes the Band two hours to set up and one hour to break down. Prior to our arrival, please make a decision on Plan B if precipitation is in the forecast. The staging area must be thoroughly dry before we place gear on the stage.
Load in time is approximately 2.20 hours Load out time is approximately 1.20 hours (some downtown venues may take longer to load out)
The Band will need a place to store the cases during the event.
A green room for changing and eating will be appreciated.
