Gunpowder Soup is a premier corporate event band for galas, conventions, and award shows. We communicate with technical directors, electricians, and event planners before arriving to the venue. The itinerary will be discussed in detail to ensure a perfectly timed event and we micro manage our productions to ensure high quality entertainment. In-ear monitors and talk-back mics are used to communicate between members on stage for song selection, walk in/walk off cues, and scheduled announcements. We monitor the crowd participation for deciding the next hit song and play most songs back to back.
The Band encompasses two MC’s, one female and one male, and our team is experienced with walk on cues and working with third party production managers.
If your party theme is Country, the Band will dress in boots, jeans, western shirt, and skirts. If your gala is formal or semi-formal, performers will dress in cocktail attire.
Our management is detailed throughout the planning stages and our music team delivers a great show.
The owners of Gunpowder Soup have an A+ from the Better Business Bureau.
Denim and Diamonds, Fiesta, 70s and 80s party theme, Rodeo Time…Gunpowder Soup will enhance your corporate event with explosive entertainment. We are an established and successful cover band that performs mainly for private events such as conventions, corporate galas, and after business parties.
Members of Gunpowder Soup step off the stage and engage with guests to create an energetic party. We invite people to sing on the mic, lead a train, lead a dance, and play tambourine.
After many years in the music business, we know what corporate and convention planners need for the night to be successful. Corporate events are managed different than weddings and fundraisers and this professional band knows and manages the difference.
Since our sound engineer is a GRAMMY Award Winning engineer, our sound is a perfect blend of vocals and music without feedback and excessive volume. Before every show, our sound engineer will calibrate our carotid speakers to the ballroom, run sound check to check for technical issues, and he can safely “tie into” the house system if the client purchases the in-house PA system. Gunpowder Soup owns and monthly maintains our instruments (back line), professional technical gear and sound system (front line), LED and laser lights. Because our engineer wants to control the quality of our sound, the band utilizes in-ear monitoring, electronic drums, and no loud amps on stage. New for 2020 are our new cardioid 3600 watt sub speakers.
Gunpowder Soup was the feature performance at our Point S Tire & Auto annual business meeting in San Antonio. Performing to a room of 500 guests, they had so much energy and were excited to engage with the audience – cannot say that about every band. Pretty cool to see a band of five include two ladies. All of the band members are multi-talented; singing, playing instruments and dancing! They The guitarist worked the room, physically moving with guitar and microphone around the room, to encourage audience members to sing along with the band.

The band was absolutely amazing!!! They were hired for our corporate event in Austin and everyone loved them. They played to the crowd and were very accommodating when we asked to extend over our contract!
They know exactly how to engage an audience because everyone was up on their feet dancing and singing! If you need a well rounded, versatile, entertaining band this is a great choice!
