Since we play mostly private events, it is rare to preview GUNPOWDER SOUP before hiring. Most of our clients have not seen the band before booking and we have NOT heard one regret!! We want your business again so we do our best to provide great entertainment and professional service. We have been in business a long time therefore, we are definitely doing things right!

CREDENTAILS
Marius and Jeanine are building a new “state of the art” recording studio and run an audio school, Audio Enginearing Institute, teaching audio engineering classes, audio-eng.com.
Our gear has been assembled by our two time GRAMMY Award Winning Recording Engineer, Marius Perron, who has a MS degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas and a BA in Geometry from Trinity University. Jeanine Davis-Perron is the owner and manages GUNPOWDER SOUP LLC with hands on every detail of the business. Jeanine has a BS degree in Hospital Administration from Southwest Texas State University.
PERFORMANCE
For cocktail hour, we play MP3 music from our stage speakers, unless you hire an acoustic musician from our staff. During dinner, the Band will play low volume and slow to mid-tempo songs to accommodate conversations at the table.
After formalities, we will fill the dance floor with dancers, interact with guests off-stage, enlist singers on our crowd microphone. GUNPOWDER SOUP started tambourines and crowd mics on the dance floor and we continue this client favorite.
GPS BUSINESS MODEL
We have been engaging with guests since 2010 and are experts in the entertainment business. Detailed local female management and an A+ from the Better Business Bureau set us apart from other bands. Clients can call and book directly through our Contact Page and we generate our own contracts.
GUNPOWDER SOUP carries general liability insurance of one million dollars. The owner is always on site and manages the Band during the event.
INSTRUMENTATION
Drums, Bass, Electric Lead Guitar, Piano, Synthesizer, Acoustic Guitar. Since GUNPOWDER SOUP is multi-talented on many instruments, our players will use different instruments depending on the song. We may have two members playing electric guitar or two keyboardist playing at the same time so we have a full sound depending on the instrumentation of each song. We try to cover the songs as close to the original version.
You will love our variety of lead vocalists and wall of harmonies. For icing on the cake, hire one of our horn player or fiddle player. Email for availability and talent fee.
